One inbox, one person reading it, and corrections read first.

Last updated

One person reads this inbox, and corrections go to the top of the pile. If you can point at a manufacturer or regulator page that contradicts something we have published, that is the most useful message we receive.

What to write about

  • A figure that is wrong, especially if you have the manufacturer's page to hand. This is the one we most want to hear.
  • A product that has been discontinued or has changed specification.
  • A question a page should answer and does not. Genuinely useful — several pages on this site exist because of a question we could not find a good answer to.
  • A broken link or a page that will not load.
  • Something you think we have got backwards. Say why, and if you are right the page changes.

What not to write about

So you do not waste your time: we do not accept sponsored posts, paid guest posts, link insertions or paid placements of any kind, and we do not sell links. That is set out in our editorial policy and it is not negotiable. Those emails do not get a reply.

We also cannot diagnose your specific vehicle. If your car will not start, the honest answer is a multimeter, a free load test at a parts store, and a mechanic — not an email.

That address is the only one we use. We do not publish a phone number or a postal address, because there is no premises to publish — Clamp & Crank is a publisher, not a shop or a repair business.
