By using Clamp & Crank you agree to these terms. They are written to be read rather than to be impenetrable, and the important part is the second section.

Clamp & Crank is an independent publisher of buying guides and explanatory content about portable jump starters, tire inflators, battery chargers and related automotive equipment. It is published by Magoo Media Group.

It is not a retailer. We sell nothing, hold no stock, process no payments and fulfill no orders. Purchases happen at the retailer, under that retailer's terms.

It is not a repair shop or a professional advisory service. We are not your mechanic and we have no knowledge of your specific vehicle.

Content here is general information, not instructions tailored to your vehicle. Designated jump-start points, battery specifications, chemistry and recommended tire pressures all vary by vehicle, and only your own documentation is authoritative for yours.

You are responsible for deciding whether a task is within your competence and whether the conditions are safe. In particular: do not work at a roadside if traffic makes it unsafe — get the vehicle clear, be visible, and if in doubt wait for assistance.

We take accuracy seriously. Every specification on this site is read off the manufacturer's own published page and linked so you can check it, and regulatory claims are cited to the regulator and date-stamped. Our methodology sets out how.

Even so, information changes and errors happen. Manufacturers revise specifications, products are discontinued, and regulations are updated — airline and lithium-battery rules in particular. Verify anything that matters against the primary source before you rely on it, especially travel rules and anything safety-related. If you find an error, tell us: corrections are read first.
